Nothing wrong with being a picky eater. My cousin only eats chicken nuggets and we still love. Your opinion is fully valid, have another nugget on me you fucking trash dog
f I can't have pie, I don't want to be part of your revolution
:party-parrot: don't care :spongebob-party: didn't ask :duck-dance:
nothing that makes me rub my tummy and go "mmmmnumnumnum mmhmmmhmm" will ever be outdated
Lots of different foods came about due to technological limitations or specific needs for preservation, etc. that no longer apply. But they stuck around because people like eating them, and in that sense they aren't "outdated." Technically, you can get all your nutrition from those disgusting meal replacement powders and shit, so all prepared food is "outdated." But eating is about way more than getting nutrition. It's about social bonding, celebration, ritual, enjoyment, etc.
This is one of those weird threads that reminds me of the guy who wanted to artificially green every desert by stealing away the “extra moisture” of rainforests and swamps even acknowledging the extinction of thousands of species on the basis of maximizing biomass because he saw deserts and rainforests as inefficiency and outdated.
Then later down the thread he admitted that these feelings stem from when he once got lost on a camping trip in the Zion National Park when he was 4 and still has unaddressed trauma.
Your personal anxieties and trauma are not praxis.
yea but you also say cake is bad and i cant follow you there sib😔
back in medieval times pie crust used to just be flour and water and formed a hard, proletarian, inedible crust that would break your peasant teeth if you tried to eat it. It was uncompromising, it stood up for itself, it was glorious.
Now liberal chefs have added decadent luxuries to pie crust like "shortening" or "added sugars" to create the unholy bourgeois abominations that exist today. Sodden, yielding, cautious dishes that cater to the inner fascistic desire the settler nations of the global north exhibit.
Action needs to be immediately taken by any revolutionary movement to bring the pie crisis under control.
