On Sunday’s Club Random, Maher criticized college students and “cancel culture,” which Burr declared “over” and said that “no one cares anymore.” Eventually, Maher steered the conversation toward the recent protests on college campuses regarding Israel’s war in Gaza. Burr told the host that he sides with the students, prompting Maher to say that position ignores the “hard-nosed decisions” that should be made after an event such as the Oct. 7th terrorist attacks in Israel. The guest responded by saying Maher is posing as an expert in world politics and likened him to a fantasy football team owner who thinks he could be the general manager in the NFL.
