Ignore the fact that RT is trying to spin this as a bad thing, bc it is obviously good

Officials in the German capital of Berlin have introduced new rules for public swimming pools and bathing facilities, allowing women to use them topless. The measure was introduced after a successful anti-discrimination complaint was hailed as a step towards creating “equal rights” for all of the city’s residents by a local anti-discrimination ombudsperson.

...

They had to throw in the scare quotes to show they disagreed with the woke mind virus that caused this :data-laughing:

Maybe I just dont know what "sexualize" means but I'm confused by this post. I'm queer and my entire social circle is queer and all of us are attracted to tits? We also, I assume, would all think this measure is good because people being attracted to something doesn't mean it should be covered up. I'm also attracted to eyes but I dont think everyone should have to wear sunglasses.

idk maybe I just have poo brain here sorry.

yeah that's what i'm getting at. i love tits as much as anybody, but at the end of the day it's just another body part and there's no need to make such a fuss about it. Some people get super horny over feet, yet you don't see anybody banning sandals in public.

I think you've basically got it you're just a little mixed up with the terminology.

The sexualization of breasts here (as I understand it) means acting as if they are inherently sexual, i.e. people seeing a topless woman at the pool and throwing a fit over kids seeing it. It's the difference between being attracted to eyes and wanting movies to be rated R for having visible eyes in them.

I think the point they were making is that someone just having tits out isn't that sexually arousing for most people attracted to them. The difference between sexual and casual nudity means that a big part of attraction is presentation

Hell, even if it is arousing (to each their own). I might be titillated, but I have the social composure not to walk up to a complete stranger who's just trying to cool off and be like "Hey! Nice rack!" in the voice of Butthead. Not being a total creep is a low bar most people can pass.

Tits are great but there's sexual and non-sexual contexts. Like how butts can be sexual or funny depending on context.
