Wouldn’t it be way smarter to raise both ends of the container and make it level? Then you have the full length of extra space underneath and your house doesn’t have to be all stairs.

This would also help when the floods hit and provide some marginal cooling for your tin can.

If the stilts were strong enough, you could fill the top container with water for additional thermal mass

This stuff is hilarious. The logical conclusion is to give the prole a sleeping pod, like a Borg... but still ensure parking space for the car.

Honestly I think the proles would love some sleeping pods right now. Thanks to real estate speculation most proles can't even afford a fucking pod, they're living with their parents or 6 roommates. I think this is why you've seen an uptick in people arguing in FAVOR of commie block style housing, even outside of leftist spaces, in the past few years, least they look better than homeless encampments.

Not in Germany. Housing is becoming steadily more expensive, and outside of the heavily big city-based expropriation referendum grassroot movement from a few years ago (which ended up kinda giving up when the courts said no - the limitations of democrats) nothing's happening.

In fact, basically the only prominent political issue is one of the correct leadership - if the stoplight coalition is good and moral, if the far-right is and of course how to best militarize the country. Nationalists are eating really good these last few years.

The other funny part about this is that nobody is making sedans anymore, so if you want to sell these in America they need to fit an insane SUV

Container home fetishization is a conspiracy to preemptively adapt people to a Waterworld-esque future of container ship nomadism.

I've offloaded metal shipping containers by hand, box by box. Starting in the morning usually gets you to the middle around noon and in spring or summer you're in the world's most depressing sauna

That being said as a professional insulator I feel compelled to say that you could make it livable by essentially building a house around it, rendering the container pointless
