do you think his wife, who was his school teacher when he was 15, taught him that?

Macron is a Neoliberal ghoul and there's lots of good reasons to mock him. I'm just not sure the fact that he was the victim of sexual grooming as a minor is one of those good reasons.

I didn't really get the impression that the point is "he's bad because he's a victim of grooming" I think the point is "the president of France is married to a child molester" which is kind of obviously bad in one way or another

Remember when the Queen of England gave her annual address about how Britons must sacrifice from atop her golden throne?

It came as the Elysee was forced to cancel a state visit on Sunday by King Charles III, after becoming convinced to do so by security threats including grafitti reading “Death to the King” and “Charles III do you know the guillotine?”.

I'm dubious of the security threat reasoning, because a variety of unions and workers all announced they wouldn't cooperate with the visit.

I know the tram drivers and other transport unions said they wouldn't operate for a Royal.

      And then there's this gem:

CGT union announced this week that its members at Mobilier National, the institution in charge of providing flags, red carpets and furniture for public buildings, would not help prepare a Sunday reception for the king upon his arrival in Paris.

Not being waited on by serfs willing to roll out red carpets and kiss their hands is a security risk in the minds of these ghouls.

Yeah ok the watch isn't 80,000€. Funny nonetheless and I'd say fake news against Macron's watch is acceptable lol

Yeah I read it was 2.5k which is still absurd for a mostly luxury item. Even a flagship smartphone cost 1/3 of that.

It feels so ridiculous that I wouldn't be surprised if he staged this whole thing to try and get people to focus on the watch instead of what he was actually saying.

I mean it kind of draws attention to the fact that he knows what he's saying is evil.

Article says the watch was a lot cheaper than 80K euros, but even at the lower price (after customization) it's hard to fathom that that tiny thing costs more than my motorcycle.

i've been meaning to get a watch so I am not distracted by my phone as much. Should I get Macron's watch from his yet-to-be bleeding stump?
