I was just wondering where Jenny Nicholson had gone when this video popped up

These immersive theme park experiences she's reviewed sound like they'd be awkward cringe-inducing nightmares even if everything worked perfectly and didn't cost as much as a 2 week vacation anywhere in the world stalin-stressed

I watched the video yesterday and it’s so obvious that the entire experience end-to-end was designed by a McKinsey consultant or similar. Reminds me of the worst aspects of cruise ships or Las Vegas. Enshittification is not limited to software. What’s remarkable is that they didn’t even try to make it good and then scale it back once they’d established it, they started with a firmly mediocre experience and had nowhere to go from there. They have so much contempt for their average customer.

it seems like a bad sign that America can't even execute on entertainment experiences anymore

what the hell does the empire have left

I misheard and thought it was $1000 per person for 2 nights, which is expensive for a hotel, but you're buying an experience, which makes $1000 not that bad. Then I learned the actual price. angry-place
