A lot of the comments had to do with arguing about whether or not Finklestein was pro-Russia invasion by having Will read Putin's Wikipedia and comparing Putin having family members die in WWII to Holocaust survivor trauma.
I thought it was obvious Finklestein wasn't being an apologist but most felt otherwise.
I don't get why that strain of shitlib is even still listening to Chapo. It's not like it's rare for Chapo to denounce imperialism and buck the fed-backed foreign policy stuff.
the chapo boys seem to strategically avoid directly discussing leftist third rail issues, like you can kind of tell they probably vibe with the general hexbear perspective of the Ukraine conflict but I've never heard them directly address the geopolitical issues and why Russia winning is good for everyone outside the West
I feel like you have to be kinda pro Russia in this situation. Like obviously war is bad. Amd obviously Russia is bad. But the US is worse so in the end it is neoliberal infighting we can hope weakens the empire
