One of my partners friends does this, with exchange students from China. Sometimes I've been called upon for comp sci tutoring and getting names on some open source stuff. She had a background in SAT/ACT test prep and had taught at a college prep school. I'm not entirely sure how she got into it but I know she travels to China to do something that gets her business.
