Right now, all the public knows is that No Labels is leading a $70 million campaign to lay the groundwork for a potential 2024 “unity” ticket — which would feature one Democrat and one Republican. Democrats and media outlets have been raising alarms that the move could undermine President Joe Biden and help elect a Republican. …

The organization additionally says it will only offer a ticket if “neither the Democratic nor Republican party presidential nominees embrace or embody the values and commitments expressed in the No Labels mission statement.”

That mission statement says that Americans should “have the choice to vote for a presidential ticket that features strong, effective, and honest leaders who will commit to working closely with both parties to find common sense solutions to America’s biggest problems.”

Like I see their point, but considering republican unhinged-ness, wouldn’t it help dems more? (Well obviously it will help corpos, goes without saying)

Isn't this just Yang Gang shit? No Labels has been a grift since the Bush Admin. Why do people keep giving them free media when their plan is to - once again - jettison tens of millions of dollars to explore finding an even bigger mark than Michael Bloomberg?

Nobody with serious political ambition is going to touch this turd ticket. So you're going to be left with... what? Evan Bayh and Evan McMullin?

Seems like effective strategy to torpedo “extreme left or right” if needed tbh, they just didn’t need it before 2016. Porky prolly didnt like 2016 one bit, with this you can go to electoral college and do some deals to elect some kennedy III to sit around pretty

they just didn’t need it before 2016.

The Republicans have had nutters running in the primary since forever. They just tended to have an Hier Designate who would corral voters by South Carolina and simply offer the Huckabees and Ron Pauls as an outlet that let angry libertarians and eventually pound sand.

But Democrats take one shot across the bow from Bernie and now they're ready to burn the Biden reelection down? No.

        This is just grift.

In recent interviews, Manchin has refused to rule out running for president in 2024 on the No Labels ballot line, and praised the group’s strategy.

:liberalism: "I'm as far left as can be, but Joe Biden just goes too far! Joe Manchin is the candidate for me!"

I've never liked vague, feel-good appeals to bipartisanship as a innate good. Oh yeah, let me drop the grudge i've been nursing against republicans for like 20 years in the name of some yee-yee get along gang bullshit that only benefits them
