My grandpa passed away recently. Im not looking for any sympathy, we had very large differences of opinion, and he was a miserable old bastard.
I just saw this photo of his, going thru some of his personal stuff. I had to post this. Hateful old fuck or not, he was pretty photogenic.
Anyway, rest in piss old man.
He gave off that impression my entire life. Real Ron Burgundy type. English Leather cologne, jazz music. Vain.
That was his word processor behind him. No family photos as of yet, but lots of photos of him and his things. His closet full of suits, his kitchen cabinetry, other shit that vain men treasure. He was a photography guy, and had a darkroom setup. There is some debate he is the one who took this photo.
Still rules to take a self-portrait where you look like a tech company executive in a computer advertisement. It's amazing how much looking good in photos makes you seem important.
Thats exactly what i thought when i saw this. Its a pretty classy photo, despute knowing what i know about him.
