People who compare everything in real life to high school (including things that are not at all like high school) are people whose lives peaked in high school.
I mean I had a good time wouldn't say I peaked. I would just keep talking to people for ages and going out to eat with them and skipping class. I'm not good at making friends but I was on pretty good terms with everyone. I get why people miss the community. Just never saw the weird cliche shit these guys talk about like the social dynamics idk
People who partied constantly seemed pretty unhappy and emotionally volatile I'd usually just get high and irish goodbye if i showed up to something with more than 2 other people 💀 always had the feeling I didn't want to find out I was an accomplice to an assault or car crash or blackout drinking shit because that was all I heard about like "yeah someone almost died again" and i would just be like :pathetic: that was the gossip. Just disgusting self destruction.
Jocks were just like sweaty guys they did not command some kind of special power. Ridiculous. Like you drink two whole gallons of water at school and become the noogie chieftain
I feel like this is actually just people who did not experience any of these things, or don't even remember what happened, and got them from media, or now interpret their memories based off shows. Or maybe all the districts I were in were just fucking weird. In any case it's a blatantly false attempt to appear relatable.
Oh sports warped the hell out of 2 districts I went to for like a year. In general the dynamic I see is rich people being shitty. Like there was a guy who was brought in from Florida to be a football player they literally bought him an apartment and then they sent him back when he didn't perform, brutal lol. The football guys were very annoying but even in a class with the English teacher + football coach and several of them we didn't have any problem with dunking on them. It did suck there tho very snobby people and someone killed themselves the year I was there.
Presumably for these guys they want to look for other stuff than wealth that warps things. I'd hate to be at some football ass Texas high school.

congratulations on not going to a school where the football coach was also the dean.
