Ok. So first off let's nip the whole thing about RFE in the bud. Radio Free Europe and other US-govt funded media like Voice of America are independent media outlets. If the government tells either one of those outlets what to publish, there's a scandal, outrage, whistleblowers, resignations. We know this because it's happened in the past - feel free to hit up their wikipedia. VOA famously has a "firewall" in its charter that prevents any US govt official from intefering in stories - I've met a few VOA journos and they take that extremely seriously. Euromaidan Press is funded by a Ukrainian NGO which is in turn funded by the Open Society Foundation and it is, again, independent. Both RFE and EuromaidanPress are transparent with their funding and reporting, and they can and do criticize the governments or organizations that fund them. They have mechanisms of accountability to their audiences and the people and organizations they cover.

Interesting, so then the government has told them what to publish before.
Unlike every single other world power in human history, our government definitely has no influence over the media that it funds and distributes
libs be like "george soros controls the media, which is why it's trustworthy"
