Christ, trying to parse the NATOpedia articles on Bain & Co. vs. Bain Capital is a tangled mess. The gist is that Bain & Company was founded by Bill Bain in 1973, and Bain Capital split off from Bain & Co. in :1984:. We all know Bain Capital as the Mitt Romney-connected vulture firm that keeps scooping up, liquidating, and then killing off well-known American businesses, but apparently Bain & Co. is most famous for getting caught trying to manipulate Guinness's stock prices back in the late 80s. They also had Romney as CEO at one point.
It's even more incestuous than heckin' Gambo Thrones.
