the statistical over-representation of LGBTQ+ minors living on the streets and in shelters is a testament to the moral bankruptcy of evangelical christian "family" values. they will condemn their own children to destitution and death before letting those young people mature into someone that will make them "look bad" in their toxic little insular networks.

it's yet another reason we need strong social safety nets and universal rights to material needs, especially for the young: these monsters need to be defanged until their threats are hollow. children who voluntarily separate from their family of origin due to abuse should never have to worry about finding food, shelter, safety, healthcare, education, or community.
