When this happens with leftist or islamic groups, i'm going with honeypot or flase flag. When it happens with right wing groups, i'm inclined to go with a deep state explanation, not in the sense Trump used the word, but in the original meaning as it was used in Turkey - a clandestine network connecting private fascist orgs and members of the state's repression apparatus.

During big protests you get to see the fear behind the visor when they're badly outnumbered. They're armed frothing psychos, but they're still terrified of being buried under a tide of feet and fists. This isn't new info to anyone here, but it reassures me.
If there's anything we should have learned from the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, it's that the phrase "FBI terrorism task force" does not imply anti-terrorism.
