    Even then, we're really only talking about the parts of the third wave that hit the radio. And even then, you had Goldfinger doing a ton of vegan activism.

      Yeah, I don't feel comfortable including ALL 3rd wave Ska in there, since a lot of them still uphold a lot of the spirit of those before them, jsut with faster and goofier tempos.

      True, I am still generalizing. But the perception of this meme isn't surprising given the impact of radio and mainstream success generally on third wave ska. Radio is partly to blame for the flanderization of many genres in their time. Classic rock, grunge, bling era hip hop, dubstep, list goes on. Streaming probably isn't much better unfortunately
