I think this is an example of athiesm being used to justify imperialism in much the same way that Christianity used to

It's an ethnostate, and they love ethnostates. Plus it's a great excuse to get rid of all the Jews they hate having in their country and use them as a weapon to kill the Muslims they hate even more.
