I never heard about anyone denying it. I mean it's a huge square, it's often in TV and millions of tourists from entire world see it with their own eyes so yeah it's real.
It's actually just the red square photographed from a very specific angle, the Chinese don't have the technology to build squares, they only recently got triangles they stole from Apple
