No one criticizes leftists more than other leftists, and ever since I told my DSA working group that I enjoy the smash hit series “Yellowstone,” it feels like Rose Emoji Twitter is out to crucify me. It’s gotten to the point where I’ve begun to question my entire identity and core beliefs; so I ask you, dear reader, can I still be a leftist if I watch Yellowstone?
I'm sorry, please don't take it personally and keep sharing freely, this isn't a criticism of you at all (OP or person reading who disagrees), but I find the Hard Times writing is dogshit bad and unfunny, Babylon Bee in every way except I agree with the premises. The Onion has headlines the editors determine won't carry a full story so they just do a paragraph, every HT that has legs at all - few of them do - should be that at most. I wouldn't have said anything but this is the second time I saw HT on the site today
Genuinely, the reason the Onion is so much better than other satirical news outfits is their recognition that you don't necessarily need to write a full story for every concept and their understanding that that's okay.
Sometimes a headline and a funny photoshopped picture is all you need, and writing any more than that isn't just wasted effort, it can actually worsen the post.

I heard on something somewhere (or I made it up) that the Onion has vicious editors, hundreds of headlines get cut for each one you see. Probably the Hard Times writing is just as good, but the editors are too nice, they seem nice and cool just its not too funny
