Conservatives have successfully scared off all the corporations from doing rainbow capitalism. And while rainbow capitalism was predatory and annoying, its absence is terrifying in its own way, signalling a return to the pre-2010s stage of the fight for queer rights.
I don like it.
One high rise near me put up rainbow lights at the top but the target here moved the pride section to the back of the store lol so swings and roundabouts I gisss

there was like one or two pride shirts out at walmart when I went recently even. (not a big fan but I needed a gag gift that only they carried). Not sure if that's more or less than normal. Kinda have trouble caring though. What makes it pride month is like events and community and friends more than seeing some disposable treats painted in rainbow. I was never that into it though, I go to pride, and try to go to any anti-capitalist pride events, but I don't fit in with the crowd that goes clubbing and partying for pride so its more just an excuse to dress a little different or dye my hair or something and spend some time outside
In my experience Walmart never did too much for pride. I generally agree, I’ve always rolled my eyes at rainbow capitalism, but I do think it’s possible that this is a bit of a canary in the mine for growing anti-lgbt sentiment. It’s definitely a little disconcerting to see so many loud bigots shouting away lgbt visibility this year
