A family friend of mine was sterilized at the insistence of her doctor in the 1970s after having 4 kids. She wasn't told why it was medically necessary but was urged to the point of being forced because a doctor she trusted with her health insisted. She is from a poor rural area of NC and knows more than a couple women in the same boat. But libs question why people don't trust the US medical system
