Still mad how expensive copies of Operation Darkness are on the X360.

Edit: Appreciate all the posts from people that obviously aren't pirating 360 games to just "pirate it."

Some people like to have physical copies of things for various reasons. Some things are hard to emulate, for one example. Also, it's bad for video game preservation and piracy for people to put a huge price tag or hold onto something that could be ROM dumped.

Like, I totally see where you're coming from and agree with you somewhat, but there is an argument to be had.

Also I dislike the idea of only rich people being allowed to have physical copies of something. Buying things second-hand isn't shilling for a company, in fact, companies have fought tooth and nail to stop it because they don't make any money from resales. This is why they want to switch over to digital-only and subscription services so badly.

Buying things second-hand at a thrift store used to be praxis. This grifting is very much capitalist bullshit and wouldn't happen without a greed incentive. It's ruining what used to be a cheap alternative for poor people who don't have a computer strong enough to emulate.

Buying things is virtually never praxis, just consumer lifestyle shit quite literally.

Agreed. Scalping treats, especially those that only serve a consumerist purpose with other means of acquiring, is hardly an atrocity.

Also, unpopular opinion, if a game was originally sold at ~$60, and you're still willing to pay a similar price for new games with similar content, then the old games are still worth the same amount. Especially since the biggest difference anymore is graphics, which aren't worth $50. It's a bit harder for me to make the same argument for the 16bit era but I could finesse it if I cared.
