    iirc he didn't kill them, he just told the peasants he wasn't going to protect the landlords and they could sort it out themselves. From what I understand there were a handful of lords who really had done everything they could to help their peasants and they were protected by their communities during the purge. As for the rest of them...

        My grandpa was a landlord in China. 1958, Mao Zedong threw him off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16ft through an announcer’s table.
