Like the vocal swells in Sweet Trip sound angelic and wonderful but are still so warm and life-affirming. I want more music with vocals like that but more danceable.
Sorry my vocabulary for EDM is really limited.
vs. Like Afterglow by Phaelah which has similar vocals but that wet, distant sound in the bass and percs.

There was (and maybe still is) some trance music with nice vocal samples out there, problem is it's not very danceable because it pauses a lot to do 'build ups', and a lot of it also sounds generic.

This reminds me! I always wanted to hear club music made out of minimalist choral work like Arvo Parte's Da Pacem!
