My child came out as non-binary when they were around 11. I won't lie, I never expected it, or saw it coming, but there was never ever ever a question about my support for them. And never before that did I have any ill will toward the non-binary community, or to any other community. In fact, the opposite, I've always done me best to be respectful, and when I see poor behavior, to call it out. (Sorry for the long diatribe, I'm a talker...)
