China's skyrocketing renewable energy sector has lead to them reaching the goal of less than 50% of power capacity being fossil fuels two years ahead of schedule. Solar power has increased by 33% and wind has increased by 12% in the last year.

Important caveat: this refers to peak generation, which is not often achieved in practice with weather dependent power sources like solar and wind. Actual power consumption was at 28.8% for renewables in 2020, with the current five year plan aiming for 33% by 2025. For comparison, the US is currently at 20%.

The day God Emperor Xi finally dabs on an American president will be truly hilarious. Regulating the production of pork rinds, or even requiring warning labels, has been declared unconstitutional.
