Multiple people have told me they may have made the same mistake, including two server members who said they thought he meant that too. But god I'm incredibly embarrassed.

I normally see people put other emojis when they're using those sarcastically, like laughing followed by crying. I guess I get it most people don't really use emojiis for super serious matters like that. To be quite frank I wouldn't even announce shit like that in a discord it would take me a couple days to even be able to tell people in vc, let alone announce it and tag everyone lol
To be fair, in his earlier announcement he was asking for support/prayers/good vibes. So I think this was just a continuation of that.
