After months of negotiations, the IBEW’s Railroad members at four of the largest U.S. freight carriers finally have what they’ve long sought but that many working people take for granted: paid sick days.
That's good. A pity that the railroad strike was shut down. Many wanted to do it anyway, but from a tactical perspective, it would've been the wrong move. But if the government shuts down another strike, they're going to have to be more bold next time, otherwise it'll send a message that the first time of shutting down a strike wasn't a fluke, but a repeatable success.
