Oh come on do people seriously believe boater kulaks are going to step foot outside of their lifted f-150s to fight a bloody civil war? These types that vow violence for a trump loss can't stand summer without ac let alone living in the pocconos eating spam and field dressing gunshot wounds.

I don't expect this will be an actual war, more of a mass civil unrest. I certainly wouldn't dismiss the possibility of this happening as the material conditions in US continue to erode.

Maybe not Civil War 2, but I can imagine the current low-intensity "Years of Lead" situation turning into a high-intensity one.

Just because they won't personally fight doesn't mean they won't support the conscription of a bunch of young men to fight for them. It's not as if most confederate soldiers in the US civil war were slave owners.

This entire document pisses me off beyond belief. Those in power are fully aware the world is collapsing and how it is happening, but they have no intention of doing anything about it to help the people, just to cement their power. They aren't even afraid of saying it.

With the amount of copycat Canada is doing with importing the worst of our politics over there, they'd better prepare for the same then.

What is this hypothetical civil war going to look like, exactly? GOP/Trumpists/militias/Nazis vs. troops loyal to the institution and processes of the USA? Because there’s 0% chance the average democrat is going to pick up a gun and fight lol. The democrats neutered their own base despite having easy access to guns and training to fend off a potential threat.

I can't see it being an actual war in a traditional sense. I would imagine it more like civil unrest, perhaps along the lines of the Rwandan civil war where armed right wing militias are going to start roaming around murdering people. It's possible this could lead to Balkanization of US too.

While obviously both political parties in US represent the interests of the oligarchs, the rhetoric they use is intentionally polarizing. The mainstream is split across political lines, with democrats and republicans blaming the other side for all the ills in the country.

Most people in US lack the political or economic education to understand what's happening leading to public lashing out in random and irrational ways. People understand that they're being hurt, but they don't understand who is responsible or why it's happening. This creates a political climate that's ripe for opportunists like Trump and Biden to game leading to further deterioration of living conditions. The country ends up in a worse state after each successive election cycle, and the sectarian tensions continue to become more prominent. Violent outbreaks are starting to happen already, and I expect these will only get worse going forward.
