It's really weird technology. One of the most interesting things I've read in a while. Makes me wonder what other weird technologies we've not even happened upon so far. There are completely different architectures for technology that would look so different.
On that topic, the moon machines documentary is pretty good; it's like 5 or 6 videos IIRC, very detailed, all on youtube.
