It's pretty crazy how Russian fake news propaganda gets consistently published 6-12 months later in the western press as true facts. The only logical conclusion is that Putler has somehow infiltrated and compromised every major news outlet in the world. Thus, by a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus

I genuinely can't understand the mindset that would lead someone to inviting people at risk of conscription to a wedding in a public space like a beach.

The mobilisation squads have a fearsome reputation, especially in Odesa, for pulling people off buses and from train stations and ferrying them straight to enlistment centres.

This strikes me as a fluff piece intended to play down the violent and brutal nature of these kidnapper squads.

    Hell of a sentence

He then reeled off the same list of reasons given by every draft dodger we spoke to – a family to support

But nor did these men want to spend the rest of the war in hiding. One of them, Oleksandr, had already opted to become a drone pilot.

      Words don't mean anything.

These kidnapping squads definitely aren’t going to the frontline with their “recruits”.
