I can understand being young and not realizing the US is purely amoral and only intersted in the maintaining it's empire like an international mafia, because that's how I was growing up, I get it, I really do, but also I was a niave rube and I probably annoyed a well meaning leftist into losing sanity points trying to talk some sense into me. If you are actually a moral person and actually take time to look into the reality of things, it will sink in eventually. I hope.

But how many conflicts can we point to in recent times where any dive past the surface western media and realize it was incredibly fucked up and whatever "moral" reasons we were sold were a bill of goods to convince the public to support our genocidal empire doing what it's done our entire history without pause? Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, whatever the fuck we've been doing in Africa for the past century, South Africa, it never ends. As long as the other party in the conflict "was no angel" it a can be sold as morally good, or "immoral but necessary" and prevent people from looking deeper. It's maddening.
