Nu pogodi, which translates to "well just you wait", was a slapstick cartoon centered on the efforts of a delinquent wolf to catch a well meaning hare. The series features very little dialogue which makes it pretty watchable even without translation. From what I understand it was very popular during it's initial run and remains popular in Russia today. Cool little bit of pop culture.
I've never watched this, but the Czechoslovak stop-motion animation Pat a Mat (Sąsiedzi - Neighbors in Poland) was also quite good (at least from my childhood memories), and similarly devoid of dialogue.
