Two NASA test pilots helming the inaugural crewed flight of Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft are in a tentative position as mission teams scramble to learn more about issues that plagued the first leg of the journey.
If Boeing craters there will just be another Boeing. The way to fix this specific problem either forcing any company that makes safety critical products to be employee owned, or something like requiring c-suites maintain a p.eng. and have to sign off on products explicitly.
I hope these astronauts make it back, but also it will do a hell of a lot more for society if they don't. Might be enough to completely crater Boeing.
