I mean I think the issue is most atheists aren't communists and indeed, skew more towards le enlightened and euphoric techbro. Not to say they aren't as immediate a threat as the christian fascists, but they're just as worthy of bullying because they're not moving towards socialism in most cases.

It is also, I think, important to remember that a lot of the internet atheism attitude is used as chaff for imperialism abroad. This was especially true of early 00s atheism (see the here). But I think there's still plenty of this residue, and it's not like I see internet atheists clambering out of the woodwork to defend our trans comrades
