Just watched Black Lagoon's first two episodes and Rock outsmarts mercenaries on a helicopter and then he exclaims "You got fucked!" upon their death. Basically, schadenfreude

Just wondering if any of you have or had other shared moments in viewing fiction, or real life, or in your personal life where you had a similar moment in taking glee in someone's justified comeuppance.

I'd prefer if you share moments in fiction, but included the latter two categories because those are good too.

In video games, killing Emet-Selch in FFXIV.

In Manga, when Louie and Balt-Rhein where outsmarted and finally defeated in Altair:Record of Battles.

This is kind of a deep cut but when Lijah Cuu gets sure as sure domed in Dan Abnett's 40k book Only in Death

I don't think I had ever been more relieved to see a piece of shit get what they have coming in a book.

Just a brilliantly written completely unlikable and irredeemable shithead of a character

Okay, a little bit of spoilers from a recent release...

    In Remnant 2

One of the places you visit in the campaign is a jungle biome run by an immortal empress who's been an absolute tyrant, especially now that the magic tree that been's supplying her with her immortality died and she's withering into an old crone

You can find out that the tree left behind a seed that will eventually grow into a new tree of immortality.

The game gives you the option of giving the seed to her and getting a reward, but the other option is to take the seed back to your base of operations and plant it there

The lore of the game very strongly insinuates that without the Empress' immortality, her position and the position of the nobles underneath her will falter and the slave caste of the planet will rise up, join the rebel forces fighting against her and finally create an egalitarian society

Plus you get one of the best healing items in the game from the tree if you plant it and wait a while anyway, so that was very satisfying as well

In Deus Ex Mankind Divided I took direct action when I returned to Prague and found the cops gunning down augs in the street. It was very satisfying to do a full slaughter of every pig in the hub, ending my nonlethal playthrough on the spot

    Berserk Spoilers:

    spoiler

During the tower of conviction arc I so wanted to see the church's tortures eat shit for being sadistic freaks. But then they got turned into apostles and I was like "oh C'MON! At least Guts beat them though. Also seeing Griffith get slapped by Rickert in the later Fantasia arc was good too.
