He might've been a Bill Burr type, who knows. He had an anti-imperialists heart, he wasn't a fan of big business, maybe 30 years mightve tempered the shit attitude about being anti-pc or whatever - he was a contrarian, lol. I guess it could've gone any way, kinda depends on how he would've felt about Nader or Gore or whatever.

you just gotta think about it like movies you never saw that created a trope, then when you watch them they seem kind of bad because it's all tired
Didn't he have a whole rant about how women are attracted to assholes.
i'm sure he did, the guy wasn't a real leftist or anything he was a kinda douchey 90s comic but he was pretty funny despite it, he's like a tier below carlin
Carlin had some very bad routines that involved jokes about and SV, but otherwise he was one of the best of his day.
Right, he's a douche, I just like this particular quote.
I don't miss the "being a misanthropic asshole is subversive and smart" fad that never fully faded away, but yeah Bill Hicks had some good takes.
I'm eternally glad I got super into him and Carlin as a teenager, feel like it's the time when you get the most out of them without being weary of the vibe you mentioned
