There's a lot about Good Lord Bird I wasn't happy with as I learn more about John Brown, but they gave him some great monologues.

    It can be very cathartic at times, and there's so little popular media about Brown. But, at the same time, they kinda make a joke of him. I haven't read the original novel, but I do wonder if McBride even likes Brown.
