I don't even have words for this right now.

Please excuse the trot publication, I didn't feel like looking for another English article.

Now, a single “like” under a post that contradicts German foreign policy is enough for a deportation order

Office for the Protection of the Constitution is being transformed into a revamped Gestapo, which not only “observes” socialists with all the means available to the secret service, but also denounces them to landlords and employers

Andrea Lindholz (CSU), for whom the draft law does not go far enough, is even explicitly calling for what is already implicitly included: the deportation of all those protesting against the genocide in Gaza

“Anyone who mocks the liberal basic order by cheering on terrorism and celebrating terrible murders forfeits their right to stay. That is why we are changing the right of residence,“ declared Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck (Greens).

I wonder if landlords even care. Like, as long as they get the money on time why would they care what you like on Instagram?

As for the employer part, it would be funny if it ever came that far over here. I work at a union and would love to see how that interaction would go when the government snitches on me.

If I understand the lore correctly, liking a post makes you khkhamas; renting or employing a khkhamas then makes you a high-level khkhamas due to the power dynamic. You have until the next full moon to fire/evict your khkhamas and do a auschwitz apology tour on social media, or you become a khkhamas for eternity.

This shit is going to spread to other European countries, isn't it? Can't wait to live in a police state where food, rent and energy are unaffordable.

In all seriousness, this is a frightening prospect and I really hope it never gets this bad wherever you are. I wish happiness, safety and peace for our comrades in europe, but I fear the imminent collapse will afford little of that.

the US stole germany's mojo in 1945 and kept it in a vault under the mountains in nevada, but it looks like they've secretly shipped it back to berlin

I've been in an abusive relationship before and this just seems like textbook abuse to me. You can't control your 'possesion' and therefore you need to shut down every single act they commit against you.

If WW3 comes around, and this time Germany gets wiped off the face of the map- honestly, I can't claim I'd be overly saddened about it at this point. For the innocent Germans yes, but the country honestly has it coming. Time and time again, they never learn; perhaps Morgenthau had it right after all. Perhaps all of the west needs either a decolonization (for those stolen lands with disenfranchised indigenous peoples) or a series of Morgenthau plans writ large. If this leads up to WW3, from whatever ashes remain, I think it'll have to be the interest of the entire non-western world to ensure exactly that.
