Most writing I've gotten done in the past year has been on paper using a fountain pen. There's something about it that's viscerally satisfying.
I would recommend trying different pens to see what you like
Kaweco is a good brand and they make inexpensive plastic fountain pens
I find this channel pretty neat in terms of getting one started with manual writing and stationary.
