I'm all in for left unity and the such. But when i'm seeing ML's stomp on anarchists, i dont know what to think of them. Obviously, there are good ones, but i cant estimate the ratio of "good" vs. "bad" ones. Also, maybe they are just overrepresented in the online space? I'm literally surrounded by liberals and right wingnuts, so i couldnt really collect experience for the real life ones. Maybe someone explain me something? I dunno.

      Don’t trust ML’s. Don’t trust anarchists.

I think looking at the r/GenZAnarchist situation (assuming that's what "the events of today/yesterday" was referring to) and coming away with a centrist take like "both sides are bad!" is pretty naive, bordering on obvious bias. MLs are 100% responsible for brigading that space, and no anarchist is surprised because it's a very classic ML action to shut down and forcefully "re-educate" those who disagree with them. Anarchists have plenty of issues, but to pretend that this situation reflects negatively on anarchists is absolutely absurd.

This. The wreckers are ML's, other purges in online communities have been done by ML's, this isn't anarchists acting up. It's a very specific brand of terminally online tankie that keeps doing this shit and then celebrating it. There's no orthodox Marxists that've impotently threatened to kill me, I haven't seen a non-anarchist Syndicalist fail to doxx me. And there aren't really all that many stories of internet anarchists fucking with ML's in their own spaces, though anarchist spaces do end up cracking down on ML's hanging out in their spaces as a way to prevent exactly this shit from happening.

        Ågain, n o t a l l M L ' s but there absolutely is a type that keeps shitting this place up.

I think it’s more about the spectacle of internet drama and always-online people skewing toward toxicity.

This. If Reddit was less of a circlejerk and people understood that a sub where you post uhh Kropotkin? memes (I don't know non-toxic anarchist memes, sorry) doesn't make you a better comrade, this wouldn't have happened. Both subs are toxic against each other and so irrelevant. I recommend to those concerned anarchists take this the same way they would take Reddit banning the sub: it sucks but it's not a big deal, you can regrow your online communities. People have been powertripping on the internet since it started.

Seriously. It was just a meme subreddit. Don't let internet drama get in the way of real life organization. Or your own education.

You have to decide what you focus your attention on. MLs don't agree with you and MLs don't think leftist unity is possible or useful. BUT, this is about the Communist Project™. Right now, there are situations where you can trust MLs and that involves helping your community. Mutual aid is one of the things that I respect about anarchists, that shit's good and useful. You can log off, go read some anarchist theory (literally shaking right now because I have to be genuine, anarchists don't re-NO) and then come back when everything has settled down. Online drama goes in cycles but communities stay the same.

It's not been about yesterday specifically, but a general gut feeling. But obviously you are right about trusting the individual. Anarchists can be idiots too. :)
