Just had that theoretical thought on reading a post about riot shields here. Is it feasible to just throw some solvent on shields to weaken them?

Upside down cane, hook under bottom of shield, lift.

Cop falls over on their back because their body armor makes them extremely top heavy they have to roll to get up which requires them to let go of the shield.

For legal reasons this is a joke

No. Unless it's hydrofluoric acid nothing is eating through a few mm of polymer quickly. (And unless you are a chemistry teacher, if you have HFA you are about to be brought up on terrorism charges)

If you read chapo.chat and you have a carboy of HFA sitting in your garage they'll make up a crime just for you.

jfc I'd be so fucking mad at anyone who brought HFA to a protest. it takes very little to kill someone and a breeze when you throw would be enough to kill a whole bunch of people at random. it's fucking stupid as a weapon.

Lol don't throw chemicals at riot cop phalanxes. They will shoot you and the people in your immediate vicinity
