There the avocados are imported and apparently meaningfully more expensive than when they're cheap in the US, but it still wasn't even a particularly expensive prepared food as restaurants go, just perceived as foreign and decadent by one brainpoisoned reactionary weirdo.
That's funny, the context I always heard was that they were imported and so cost several dollars per avocado instead of like one or less than one, but it literally being a domestic agricultural product makes it even more unhinged.
