Honestly I think the creators are complete pieces of shit, they've made it pretty clear that they consider this a laughing matter. Saw someone suggest that they wouldn't be surprised if a couple years down the line the show runner turned out to be a Joss Whedon type, and it seems within the realm of possibility.

I gotta say, I enjoyed it way less after season 2. This season was barely enjoyable.
They abandoned the most of the major points and started to make it some deep commentary like west wing. I would've liked it if they stuck to keeping homelander close to what he was in those comics. A self aggrandizing PR face who also is a true believer in bizarre way. Or any of the cia nazis plot.
