A federal appeals court on Wednesday ruled that a decades-old law prohibiting users of illegal drugs from owning firearms was unconstitutional as applied to the case of a marijuana user, the latest fallout from a U.S. Supreme Court ruling last year that expanded gun rights.
So can people with a weed card have guns? Or is this just like people who smoked pot one time in college are allowed to own a gun?
You cannot be barred because you use illegal drugs, that would include having a weed card. This individual had a gun and "weed cigarettes" when they stopped him.
