I think even hexbear users might be mildly surprised by the depth and breadth of Pentagon and CIA meddling in the entertainment industry. Thousands of movies and TV episodes have had their scripts reviewed and edited by military and intelligence censors.
Yeah I watched this last year. Honestly a terrible documentary from a craft perspective, like the last doc this guy watched was Bowling for Columbine and the guy was like "yeah ok I could do that."
That being said, everybody should watch it. Just having the FOIAed docs on screen showing the negotiations between the studio and the feds while superimposed on the scenes themselves is powerful. The extent of these operations is a standalone testament to the degree we're indoctrinated.
I watched it too. Am I misremembering, or was the final point of the film that there should be disclaimers before films or something? I remember thinking it was a lot of build up to offer the most limp wristed solution
Yeah the dude is a lib like there's 10 minutes in the middle where he invites a bunch of vets on to be like ACKTUALLY the imperial shit we were doing that was lionized in this piece of media didn't happen exactly like they show it.
But despite that I think it's still essential viewing.
