Probably, there was a recent Dollop episode about a hunting party in 1893 where the cook didn't tell anyone that he had an enlarged prostate that he needed a catheter for the past 20 years for and didn't bother to bring, he started to burst at the seams after a couple weeks of not pissing.
He was given multiple chances to turn back, guy was aching the first day out and they offered to give him a months pay if he would turn back. He claimed to have gone a week or two without using it before because a catheter in 1893 was akin to a torture device, but they were planning on being out in the woods for a month and a half, he died of gangrene when they got stuck in a snow storm.
I think they made a movie about this with Daniel Radcliffe
