Wow, this game came out in 1993. Kind of wild that Sega was still publishing games featuring their mascot on the Master System years after the Genesis was released.

The game was developed for the Gamegear originally and the Genesis was backwards compatible with the Master System. Sega probably figured they could sell more units if they essentially released it on all their systems.

The Master System was super popular where I grew up (New Zealand) well into the late 90s. Even more popular then the Mega Drive or the Super Nintendo. Wild, huh?

Master System/Game Gear sound chip is underrated. Here's a couple of bangers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYJkol00JCE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcWrovC-pXg

The first one was composed by the legend himself Yuzo Koshiro (Streets of Rage, Ys I & II).
