Doing Paxlovid is good, but there is a good chance he will test positive after the first Paxlovid prescription runs out. He can still get long COVID if a COVID rebound is left untreated, so it's important to get a second course of Paxlovid in that case.

Side note: He can also spread COVID from a COVID rebound after the first course of Paxlovid. My dad gave COVID to family members that way, over 2 weeks after he originally experienced COVID symptoms.
