Dude is constantly complaining about new music, but it just comes off as “old man yells at cloud”. He does praise pop music though, but it has to be HIS pop music*. He’s talks about how there’s nothing original anymore, but when someone sends him a band like black midi, which someone actually did during one of his streams, he turns it off after 30 seconds and says it’s just noise.
He supposedly complained during a live stream that his son didn’t practice music enough, so he took his video games away. He subsequently deleted the stream and any attempts to reupload it gets copyright struck by him.
He’s friends with Eric Weinstein and went his podcast. (Weinstein coined the term Intellectual Dark Web) I wouldn’t be surprised if Beato is a right winger, he just hasn’t gone mask off yet.
- I don’t even like modern pop either, but I just get the feeling of “who cares, let people like what they like” when I see a thumbnail to one of his videos.

From a purely musical perspective I find this insights and opinions very interesting and I feel like he usually keeps a pretty open mind but I've only seen him review pop and top 40 type stuff. He's also old and music tastes tend to be generational to some degree I don't hold that against him.
